Gatsby Sauce

By day, Tristan Chad Van Leeve is a live sound technician — engineering the room so the night goes off. By night, he's Gatsby Sauce, behind the decks and in the studio.

Formally trained at Cape Audio College (class of 2019) and schooled in the Cape Town drum & bass underground, he runs hard-hitting rollers and bouncy liquid — the kind of set that turns a room from "popping in" to "packed out."

He's held it down alongside MC Juice at Biblio (50 Hout Street, Cape Town CBD), shared bills with heavy-weight selectors like Lolo & Brolin, and leant his mix to the Rumbling Riddim radio sessions. He's also co-founder of SIESNBASS, the Cape Town D&B crew keeping the scene loud.
